Just watched this last night and WOW!

The overseer of vault 4 is Chris Parnell. Most notably he plays Morty's dad Jerry in Rick and Morty, Cyrill Figgis, in Archer, and several other comedic roles. One of his lesser known parts is always playing Santa in the christmas episodes of Eureka.

Just FYI guys: Richard the 3rd and his queen were cousins, most of the Hapsburgs were all cousins or closer, Henry the 5th and his wife were cousins, Henry the 6th and his wife, alot of the Lancastrians and Yorks were all intermarried cousins. Henry the 8th and his 1st wife were distant cousins. Elizabeth 2 and Philip were 2nd cousins.

Yeah S8 felt like it just had terrible direction and wanted to "subvert expectations" just for the sake of doing it, with no care in the quality of said direction. Same issue with the Star Wars sequels, just dumb modern takes on how to ruin great series. A bit over-pessimistic but damn, I feel like it was VERY hard to mess up this season, and they somehow managed to do it lol.

I don’t get why Cody and Bridgett turned on Max so hard. Max had to reveal himself to Thaddeus, because they were about to return to base where the Brotherhood would definitely find out who’s in the suit, but instead of talking it out with Max like he suggested, Thaddeus instantly betrayed Max. Thaddeus is the bad guy here. Max just realized he couldn’t let Thaddeus go rat him out to the Brotherhood. Max is a good guy.

Shadysands was an existing city in the New California Republic. It was the biggest of the original five locations that made up the Republic - Shadysands, The Hub, the state of Los Angeles, Maxson, and Dayglow - and Shady was the first city in the Republic. You save the daughter of the villager elder in the first game when Shady is nothing more than a village that was founded by former vault dwellers and the young daughter, named Tandi, goes on to be an enterprising woman that spends her life turning Shadysands into a functioning city. There's a picture of her on their $100 dollar bill. More over, the New California Republic by the time Shadysands "falls" so to speak indicated on that chalk board the Republic is comprised of numerous settlements, several large cities, and ranges as far north as Oregon, as far south as Baja California, and extends from the coastline of California to Las Vegas in Arizona. It has a population of a little more than 700k people. It's one of the reasons so many people in the community are wondering what's happened to the other towns and cities in California since the Fall of Shadysands. Also, unfortunately, due to some date issues on the board in this episode, the ages of a couple of the characters, and some general issues a part of the community has with Bethesdsa it led to a situation a couple weeks back where people in the community thought the show runners were retconning and removing a game from the timeline. It was a mess but, thankfully, one of the producers of the games in the series let it be known nothing like that was happening and put out all nerdy fires and made everyone put down their keyboard shaped pitch forks.

I like how this episode establishes both that Muldaver has been around for 200 years, and also that cryo tech exists in this universe (They had frozen people on level 12 in vault 4, where lucy was snooping) and people still go "Wow I wonder how Muldaver's still around" 🤣

I'm pretty sure that the people from Vault 4, like the Christians, only drank wine and the ashes that smear on their faces are also just the dirt from the place where the bomb fell and not really the ashes of people. That happened 20 years ago. Amazing that people don't think 2 inches ahead. They hear blood and ashes and immediately believe everything that is said without questioning. In principle, they don't do much different from the Christians. Well, they are still undressing, but otherwise it is nothing more than any other believe system. Full of crazy things.
